What I Offer
A free sample edit of up to 2000 words is available for all projects. (Projects less than this will receive a 50% edit.) This lets me see what kinds of editing may be required for your manuscript and how much time the editing may take to complete.
Should you go ahead with me as your editor, a 25% deposit is required before I work on your project. Final payment will be made after the editing has been finished and prior to me returning your manuscript to you. I'm also happy to discuss payment plans for writers on a budget.
Projects that require several kinds of editing may be eligible for discounted bundle pricing. A price guideline is provided below. Payments will be handled through Venmo.
Proofreading
1/2 cent per word
Correct errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Copy Editing
1 cent per word
Correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and word usage. Imposes consistent style and format.
Line Editing
Developmental Editing
1.5 cents per word
Works on language and organization at the paragraph level, including word choice, sentence structure, transitions, and readability.
2 cents per word
Focus on big-picture areas of the manuscript, such as plot, characterization, point of view, pacing, structure, and more.
